The Greyhound @ Shap is a famous coaching inn dating from the 15th century on the edge of the Lake District. Close to the motorway (M6 J39 only 5 minutes drive) it makes the perfect stop off or launching point to explore the unspoiled Eastern Fells.
The pub boasts 8 real ales in the summer plus regular guest ales, and a very extensive wine list. Fresh local food is served daily. There are also well appointed en-suite rooms for guests, and dogs are very welcome!
