Lancrigg Vegetarian Country House Hotel timeless charm comes from it's unrivalled position overlooking the serenity of Easedale. Whether on foot, car or local transport,
you are half a mile away from the Lakeland village of Grasmere.

You can walk from our front door into the magical splendour that is the appeal of this part of the English Lake District. Or maybe you would prefer to wander through the 30 acres of gardens on our woodland walk.

You will be following in the footsteps of none other than William and Dorothy Wordsworth who discovered Lancrigg soon after arriving in Grasmere.

One aspect you will really appreciate is the total absence of traffic noise - the silence punctuated only by the sound of nearby waterfalls and birdsong.
It comes as no surprise that Lancrigg became a meeting place for the ‘Lake School of Poets'. Delightful woodland walks leading to spectacular views of the fells were all part of the grand design. The quiet corners of the garden are a favourite for those who like to while away the hours with a good book.
The Green Valley Café and Vegetarian Restaurant.
